A Little Hello From Me To You

Hi, hello and welcome to my blog. The first post is always the hardest, right? Aside from my love for fashion and putting outfits together, as is the main purpose of this blog, what else is there to know about me, Kyla? So I thought I'd do the ever so cliche "10 Facts About Me". 

1. I'm an English major in my third year of study. Ever since I was a little girl I've loved anything to do with books and writing so I knew from the very beginning that I'd want to do something centred around English. 

2. I'm a natural blonde. I've never dyed my hair except for a brief dip-dye scenario in twelfth grade where I dyed the ends of my hair cotton candy pink and turquoise. 

3. Much to my dismay, height does not run in my family, so I was blessed with short genes, making me only 5 foot 1 and a half. (The half really makes a difference, I swear!)

4. I feel it in my heart and soul that I'm destined to be a future cat lady. I've always loved cats, my cat Roxy is essentially my soul sister. 

5. Call me a conspiracy theorist or whatever you like but I am a strong believer in aliens. I've watched countless documentaries and read book after book strengthening my interest and knowledge in the subject of extra terrestrial beings. One day I hope to see a UFO but for now, other peoples close encounters will be enough to quench my thirst. 

6. I love a man who can pull off the man bun / beard combo.  

7. I'm really into home decor and design. I can spend hours aimlessly watching HGTV, scrolling through home decor/DIY blogs and Pinterest. Interior decorating is such an expressive and fun medium. I can't wait to have my own place for the sole purpose of having the freedom to decorate it as I please. 

8. I've always had this strange connection to California for as long as I could remember. Something about the ocean, endless summer sun, palm trees all around and just the easy-going California attitude is something I've always gravitated towards.

9. I'm a champion Monopoly player. In the countless times I've played the game I've only lost a handful of them. I'm always in the mood for a good round. It's my favourite game to bust out during the holidays especially. Nothing is as good as a little family competition, right?

10. I have a super, and I mean, s u p e r, soft spot for trashy reality TV shows no matter how bad I know they are. I've seen them all from, The Bachelor to the Real Housewives series' to Dance Moms. I can't seem to get enough! Guilty pleasure? Yes. But, do I feel guilty? No, not even close.
