Grown Ocean

Currently I've been loving anything I can wrap myself up in whether it be an oversized cardigan, blanket scarf or printed poncho-wrap like this one I got from Urban Outfitters. I feel like I'm channeling heavy Clint Eastwood vibes from the wild west days when I wear this thing. From the pattern to the fringe to the serious wind machine action I get when I'm walking with it trailing behind me. I feel like an eagle ready to spread its wings and fly.

I paired it with some turquoise and silver jewels (my fav) to give this neutral outfit some pops of colour. I've been really into layering my necklaces lately. A statement necklace with something more dainty underneath. I love both the juxtaposition and the dimension it gives an outfit and how it can give even a basic shirt some added pizzaz.

I've recently rediscovered an old favourite, Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes. This album was the soundtrack to my senior year of high school and helped me transition into university. This album and band will always hold a special place in my heart. Their music just gets you right in the soul and lets you close your eyes and imagine yourself up in a cabin in the woods somewhere on a winter afternoon. I love any sort of music that has the ability to act as a portkey, transplanting you from one place to another. I'm still waiting for another release from these guys. Robin Pecknold, where art thou? Anyways, enjoy the song and video below. Each are equally as beautiful.
