Bright Blue Day Haze

After yesterday being filled with nothing but rain, rain and more rain and pretty humid and muggy temperatures it's nice to see Mr. Sun's face again! Summer for me is all about the kimono's... they actually epitomize it for me. They're light, flowy and free like a summer's day. I love this kimono I got from Threadsence a while back. It's got the biggest sleeves I've seen, I feel like a bird or a faerie ready to take flight or join a little woodland community and it's in the prettiest shade of pink to boot. It has this beautiful crochet detailing throughout as well and I paired it with this black t-shirt dress and gold coin necklace (clearly one of my fav's). It does the little jingle jangle when I walk, like there's a musical soundtrack to my life, I love it!

This summer's been filled with music, music and more music and I couldn't be happier. I wish everyday was a concert or festival. Just to feel the music in your soul and the vibes in the air. People coming together as a collective, sharing an interest in the sights and sounds and just having a good time. Seriously, my favourite thing ever. I'm longing to take a road trip, going from festival to festival during its season. I'll do it one day for sure... But for now I'll just pretend I'm Lindsay Weir on that last episode of Freaks and Geeks with a bunch of Deadheads, following the band around.  

Eye Pattern Blindness

A little change of scenery. And I'm back from my hiatus as well. I'll share what I've been up to in another post as this month has been pretty exciting! Finally I can say with assurance as May comes to a close that summer temperatures are officially here to stay. And with that comes an entirely new wardrobe. I feel like my wardrobe transforms into a total nomadic wanderer in the summer and that's the way I like it. And now without further ado let's introduce the patterns anywhere and everywhere! 

To welcome this new weather I decided to bring out the patterned pants. Now I know these aren't for everyone and most will say they're reminiscent of pyjama's but I can't imagine a summer without them. A staple in my summer wardrobe if you will. They're great to just throw on with a basic tee of any colour and still look like you "tried" and not to mention they literally are the comfiest pants on the planet. I got mine from Threadsence, one of my favourite online stores of all time. They carry the brands I love and totally get my style.

I went for a minimal look throughout, letting the pants speak for themselves with a basic black tee and a neutral coloured cardigan. However, I can never take it easy on the accessories, notorious for over-accessorizing. Rings on every finger and my favourite coin necklace. I can't wait to sport more patterns throughout the summer they always make me happy and bring on the summer vibes!
