Cozy & Warm

With the recent weather we've been experiencing every time I walk out the door it's the equivalent to the Arctic Plunge. It's been hard to wear anything besides the thickest sweaters I own and layers upon layers.

I love this turtle neck I got from Garage. It's cozy and definitely does the job of keeping me nice and warm and its in this beautiful shade of eggplant. I paired it with these boots that remind me of summer with their quilted aztec patterning.

My walks home have looked a lot like this recently, snow-covered and deserted. It seems as if everyone's given up on trying to enjoy the great outdoors, Mother Nature: 1 , Everyone else: 0.

Winter Is Coming

I've been lusting after getting a faux fur coat for quite some time and could never really take the plunge. One day I was scouring the Forever 21 website and bam! I saw this vest. It immediately caught my attention, a million outfit ideas popped in my head and I knew I had to have it. It came in a few other colours however, I knew that this shade was the one. I'm so happy I got it. With the recent dropping in temperatures (-40...eek!!) this little guy has even be a great piece to layer under my coat for some added warmth.

I feel very Penny Lane in this vest. It's definitely a statement piece on its own, but I love it. I paired it with this chiffon peasant style top and thought that the magenta and purple hues went together perfectly. Together with my signature black skinnies favourite boots at the moment, I was in love.

I've recently been reading the first book from A Song of Ice and Fire series. When I saw it on the syllabus's for one of my courses this year I couldn't believe my eyes. I've been dying to read it since I first watched the HBO series, thus, excited was an understatement. I'm looking forward to reading more of the book and hopefully starting the other ones in the series once summer rolls around.
