Weekend Casual

Weekend casual. The perfect outfit for running around and doing errands. I barely ever wear blue jeans, black jeans being my main, so this is a nice change. No one does jeans like Levi's, they're an iconic denim brand for a reason. Good quality denim is so hard to come by these days. I'm not really a fan of the jeggings trend (hybrid between jeans and leggings), too much stretch and then the jeans become baggy, worst thing ever. Does this happen to anyone else or just me? I'm a firm believer in doing the "skinny jeans dance" when putting on my jeans so needless to say I prefer a stiffer denim and that's why Levi's is perfect (coming back to my initial point after a rather long winded tangent on modern denim practises).

Who says that on weekends you have to wear sweatpants when running errands or just doing anything? I'm a firm believer in that Karl Lagerfeld (fashion god and genius) quote, "Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life so you bought some sweatpants". You can still feel comfortable and wear jeans (or leggings)! But I love wearing these jeans. They're not totally a skinny fit but they're not a boyfriend fit either, they're an in between. They give off an effortless vibe. So I paired them with something that I always feel super comfortable in, a trusty flannel. I can't rave about flannels enough. So if you don't have one in your wardrobe by now, not only is the whole 90's-grunge-flannel trend huge right now but it's a wardrobe essential and perfect for any occasion (okay maybe not any).

I felt like these pieces were a little more on the tougher side of the spectrum so I decided to add some crochet to the mix with this super airy creme tank top. It's perfect for layering and also perfect for those hot summer days when layering isn't an option and on top of it all it can also double as a bathing suit cover up, bonus! To top it all off as if flannel and crochet weren't enough I went for a leopard slip on shoe. It ties the entire relaxed, casual vibe of the outfit together.

(Excuse the blurriness but I feel like I never smile in pictures on here)
